Wednesday Morning Pottery -- September

Have a lot of fun and let your creative side delight you. Each person will have the option to learn the pottery wheel. Make creative functional items such as bowls and cups as well as simple expressive clay sculpture with instructor guidance. Classes are designed to be repeated in order for students to develop skills and confidence. Tools and equipment are provided.

Sunday Afternoon Pottery Wheel — September

This 3 week session introduces students to the basics of throwing on the potter's wheel.Your instructor will cover technique, trimming, and glazing application. This includes wedging, centering, cylinders, bowls, and surface decoration. All levels of beginners from first time students to advanced beginners. Small class size is like having your own coach. Class includes clay, all tools, and firing.

Throwing large With Zac

If you've had some experience and practice on the wheel and want to keep expanding your skill, you will get the opportunity this October to learn from and be coached by Zac Hould, who we think of as Monrovia's own Master Ceramic Artist. If you are seeking more height and grace, beautiful trimming, and glazing -- this throwing event is for you. With 3 or more lbs of clay, experience expert guidance in making your own tall graceful creations. Take your pottery experience to the next level. 5 Friday nights from 6 to 8:30 with practice time in between. This is a special throwing event for a limited number of students offered only this month.
